Andover and Porth Nanven

Thursday 23rd August 2012

I missed our field trip to Porth Nanven as I was visiting my son and  daughter in Andover.  Didn’t have any time for photography though I did manage to grab this shot of some sort of cricket I had disturbed whilst tidying up wallflowers growing on the driveway in front of the garage.

A Cricket in Andover

Disappointed to have missed the Porth Nanven field trip I looked through some past photos I had taken last February and March and thought I’d share a few with you.

Granite forms at Porth Nanven

The stones and rocks at Porth Naven are quite remarkable.  It is illegal to remove any stone from this beautiful cove.

Glorious granite.

For me, though, I revel in the wonder of the sea.

Standing up to my knees in the sea looking towards the Brisons.

  1. Shame you missed your trip, but I’m sure family time was worth it. Lovely pictures from last year. The water in the last photo looks quite fierce, how did you not fall over?! know I would have!!!

    • I was wearing wellingtons which helped to stabilise me, though they didn’t keep me dry. And you are quite right, we must always find time for family.
