Porthcurno

Thursday 2nd August 2012

We arrive at Porthcurno beach car park at 7.30pm. The beach at Porthcurno is already in shadow so some of us hurry along the coastal path towards Logan Rock where the light will be better. Below is my personal favourite photo of the night.

Pedn Vounder Beach

My first photo of the night shows the advancing shadow across the beach and cliffs.

We move further along the coastal path towards the beach. The next two photos show the beach and cliffs in all their glory.

My final shot shows the moon rising over Treen Cliffs

Walking back towards the car park we have a great view of the world famous Minack Theatre. It is starting to get dark now and the lights of the theatre give the Minack a most enchanting atmospheric appearance set in the cliffs amongst this great sea and sky. I didn’t stop to take a photo, leaving that for another day.

  1. I’m with you, first photo is my favourite. Love how you got the sea to look like mist.
